Be it during a trip to Hamburg for business meetings, or on the way to or from a break by the North Sea or Baltic Sea, the ninth Porsche Charging Lounge is conveniently located on the A7 autobahn that connects the north and south of Germany. All-electric Porsche models can now stop to recharge at any time of the day or night near the Evendorf autobahn exit, where the Porsche Charging Lounge offers six DC fast-charging points with a capacity of up to 400 kW. This level of power is available even when the site is full and all charging points are in use simultaneously. The Evendorf facility joins that at Estenfeld near Würzburg to become the second lounge located on the A7.
Outside, covered seating areas with built-in speakers underline the relaxed ambience. Inside, comfortable lounge chairs, a well-stocked selection of soft drinks and snacks, a coffee machine, water dispenser and two modern washrooms ensure a pleasant stay for all. Powerful and complimentary Wi-Fi is also available. Exterior and interior areas are monitored around the clock.
Facts, figures and data
The fast-charging station in Evendorf/Nordheide is the ninth exclusive charging lounge to open so far. The others are located in Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld near Würzburg, Hamburg, Ingolstadt, Leonberg and Ringsheim in Germany, as well as Koblach in Austria and Nyon in Switzerland.
At Porsche Charging Lounges, a current-generation Taycan can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent state of charge (SoC) in 18 minutes. At 21 minutes, a Macan needs only slightly more time to reach the same SoC.
The Porsche Charging Service comprises more than 900,000 charging points across 27 European countries, including almost 85,000 charging points that offer a capacity of more than 150 kW. Porsche Charging Service Plus customers can charge at the stations of Preferred Partners at a discounted rate of €0.39/kWh. These include IONITY, Aral pulse, GoFast in Switzerland and Fines Charging in Bulgaria.
A Porsche ID is required to gain access to the charging points and lounge area. If a license plate is linked to a Porsche ID, the barrier opens automatically thanks to license plate recognition. The vehicle registration number can be conveniently stored in the My Porsche app. Alternatively, customers can easily access each location and lounge using a Porsche Charging Card or a QR code from the My Porsche app.
In July 2025, the My Porsche app took first place among OEMs following analysis by Auto Bild. The magazine compared 32 charging services and apps from independent providers and car manufacturers. Porsche achieved a rating of ‘very good’ across the categories of pricing model, charging app usability and network coverage.
