Wolfsburg. The Volkswagen Group delivered just under 2.5 million new vehicles to customers in the first quarter of this year. In March, the Volkswagen Group handed over 990,900 vehicles to its customers. "We finished the first quarter with good delivery figures for March. The growth drivers for the Volkswagen Group were Europe and the North and South America regions, which saw a marked increase in new vehicle deliveries", said Fred Kappler, Head of Group Sales at Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, commenting on the figures for March. "We expect to see a positive growth impetus in China in the second quarter", Kappler continued.
