“North America is an integral part of our Future Plan 2030. We view the region as a key market for profitable growth. A potential Audi plant in the U.S. would create further conditions for this: products made in the U.S. for the U.S. market. The entire Volkswagen Group benefits from success in growth regions such as North America.”

“We welcome the positive signals from the United States. North America is an important growth market for the Volkswagen Group, and we intend to further strengthen our position in the region in the years ahead. Increasing the localization of products and value creation can make an important contribution to this. The prospect of an Audi plant in the United States is very much in line with this strategic direction. We see this as an attractive opportunity for Audi, for our North American operations and for the Volkswagen Group as a whole. The next steps will now be further developed in line with the established processes and submitted to the responsible corporate bodies for decision.”
