The new Polo Edition 50: the special model for the 50th anniversary of the Polo
Five decades of the Polo – a real reason to celebrate! With the Polo Edition 50, a special model that Volkswagen is launching to mark the anniversary. The vehicle has an extensive standard equipment package and additionally impresses with specific small design details. Pre-sales of the Polo Edition 50 start tomorrow, Thursday, with prices starting at 28,200 euros in Germany.

Volkswagen is a partner of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025
Volkswagen is back on the UEFA football pitch. The car manufacturer will be a partner of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025. The UEFA Women’s European Championship will be held in Switzerland from 2 to 27 July. Volkswagen was already involved as a partner for the UEFA at the 2022 Women´s EURO in England 2022.

Top marks for a Volkswagen model once again: new Tayron achieves 5 stars in Euro NCAP
The new Volkswagen Tayron achieved first-class results in the latest Euro NCAP test and received the highest rating of five stars. The result underlines the outstanding safety equipment of the new model and, at the same time, the high standards of Volkswagen. Under the guiding principle of “Safety for All”, Volkswagen has been continuously working on innovations for decades to further increase road safety – in all vehicle segments, for all road users and for all relevant accident scenarios.

Stefan Mecha becomes new Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand
Stefan Mecha will become the new Chairman of the Brand Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) in Hanover with effect from July 1, 2025. Mecha succeeds Prof. Dr. Carsten Intra, who is leaving the company for personal reasons as part of a retirement plan.

Power2Drive 2025: Elli unveils new "Flexpole Plus" and announces key partnership with UNITI
Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH (Elli) is presenting a major innovation at this year’s Power2Drive trade fair in Munich: the new Flexpole Plus. The next-generation of Elli’s battery-buffered DC fast charger combines proven flexibility with expanded payment capabilities, making it ideal for public, business, and fleet locations with limited grid capacity. Coinciding with the product launch, Elli is also announcing a strategic partnership with German energy association UNITI to help transform gas station infrastructure across the country.

Despite first-quarter challenges – Audi sees strong growth in deliveries of electric vehicles
AUDI AG’s financial performance in the first quarter of 2025 reflects the ongoing challenges of the overall situation. Contributing factors here include the global economic downturn, intensified competition and political uncertainties. At the same time, deliveries of electric cars from the Audi brand rose by around 30 percent compared to the same period last year. Revenue in the first three months of 2025 was 15.4 billion euros, up 12.4 percent on the figure for the same period last year. Operating profit totaled 537 million euros. Net cash flow amounted to EUR -61 million.

SEAT S.A. sales revenue grows 2.4% in Q1 2025 to 3.9 billion euros, driven by recent CUPRA launches
SEAT S.A. sales revenue reached 3.895 billion euros between January and March 2025, up 2.4% compared to Q1 2024 (3.803 billion euros). This figure, driven by the success of recently launched CUPRA models, represents a new record for the company for a first quarter in which deliveries also increased to 146,700 vehicles, up 5.9% from the same period in 2024 (138,600 vehicles).

Škoda Auto posts strong sales and financial results in Q1 2025
Škoda Auto built on last year’s momentum to achieve a robust Q1: With 238,600 vehicles delivered to customers worldwide, the Czech car manufacturer recorded an increase of 8.2% year-on-year in the first three months of 2025.

Brand Group Core records higher unit sales and sales revenue – special factors impact profitability
The sales revenue of the Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT/Cupra and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands rose significantly in the first quarter of 2025, totaling some 35.3 billion euros. There was strong growth in deliveries of all-electric models. At the same time, provisions in connection with CO₂ regulations in Europe as well as the diesel issue impacted the operating result, which decreased to 1.12 billion euros in the first quarter. Inventory write-downs in connection with the import duties announced by the United States also had an adverse effect on the result.

Porsche invests decisively in its future
Porsche AG continued to invest decisively in its future in the first quarter of 2025. The focus was on investments in the product portfolio, in software and battery activities, and in organisational adjustments. The company is accepting short-term burdens as a result.
