TRATON GROUP records total unit sales of around 305,500 vehicles in 2025 in a weak market environment
In a weak and uncertain market environment, the TRATON GROUP’s unit sales decreased by 9% in 2025 compared to the previous year. Based on preliminary figures, a total of 305,500 vehicles were sold in 2025, down from 334,200 vehicles last year. By contrast, unit sales of all-electric vehicles increased by 86% to 3,230 vehicles (2024: 1,740).

Learning from data: Volkswagen Group launches Europe-wide initiative for greater road safety
The Volkswagen Group is committed to further enhancing safety for all road users across Europe. Building on successful experiences in Germany, the Group aims to expand its program for utilizing sensor and image data from customer vehicles to around 40 European countries. The goal is to continuously optimize driver assistance systems and automated driving functions using data from real traffic situations. Customers can benefit from these improvements through software updates to their vehicles. The ongoing enhancements to driving functions increase comfort and make a positive contribution to overall road safety. Customer consent is required – naturally in full compliance with all national and European data protection regulations. The rollout is scheduled to start in January 2026 with Volkswagen Passenger Cars models, followed by CUPRA, ŠKODA, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi and Porsche.

Audi delivers 1.6 million vehicles in 2025 as strong fourth quarter ends challenging year
Audi delivered more than 1.6 million vehicles to customers worldwide in 2025, a decline of approximately 3 percent to the previous year. However, deliveries rose year over year in every month starting in September, signaling an upward trend. The order books support the trend: last year, orders increased over 13 percent compared with 2024, orders for electric models jumped around 58 percent. Deliveries of all-electric models reached a record of over 223,000 units in 2025, approximately 36 percent.

Volkswagen delivers 4.73 million vehicles worldwide and further consolidates its market leadership in Europe
The Volkswagen brand delivered around 4.73 million vehicles to customers worldwide last year. Deliveries therefore virtually matched the prior-year level amid challenging market conditions (–1.4 percent). While a positive trend could be observed particularly in Europe (+5.1 percent) and South America (+18.5 percent), the market environment in China (–8.4 percent) remains challenging. US tariffs also had a marked impact on deliveries in North America (–8.2 percent).

Volkswagen Group dominates the „Das Goldene Lenkrad“ awards with six prizes and a historic brand record
The Volkswagen Group is the most successful manufacturer at the 49th edition of "The Golden Steering Wheel". Every year, the German trade magazine AUTO BILD and the BILD am SONNTAG newspaper recognise outstanding new models with this award. Of the twelve trophies awarded in total, six went to Volkswagen Group brands. The core brand Volkswagen achieved a historic success with four category wins. No other brand has ever received so many “Golden Steering Wheels” in a single year. Two further prizes were awarded to the CUPRA and Porsche brands.

Karsten Schnake will become the new member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand responsible for Procurement and a member of the Extended Executive Committee effective November 1, 2025. He thus succeeds Dirk Große-Loheide, who is leaving the company under a long-planned retirement program. In addition to his new duties, Karsten Schnake will continue as acting Board Member for Procurement at Škoda until December 31, 2025, to ensure a seamless transition.
