Volkswagen Group delivers around 50 percent more all-electric vehicles worldwide
On July 9, 2025, the Volkswagen Group published its delivery figures for the first half of 2025.

Deliveries of all-electric vehicles rose 47 percent to 465,000, while plug-in hybrid deliveries increased 41 percent to 192,000. The largest delivery volumes were in Western Europe, with 1.699 million vehicles, and China, with 1.314 million.

Susanne Wiegand to succeed Marianne Heiß on Volkswagen Supervisory Board
A change is taking place among the shareholder representatives on the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft. Marianne Heiß has stepped down with effect from July 4, 2025. She is to be succeeded by Susanne Wiegand with effect from July 5, 2025. This change was announced by the company in Wolfsburg on Friday.

Gunnar Kilian to leave Volkswagen’s Group Board of Management
Gunnar Kilian will be leaving Volkswagen AG’s Group Board of Management with immediate effect. His current area of responsibility, Human Resources, will be taken over by Thomas Schäfer until further notice. The Group Supervisory Board adopted this resolution on Friday. This became necessary due to differing views on how holding companies should be managed.

Volkswagen Group Awarded the World’s Most Innovative Automotive Group
The Volkswagen Group has been named the most innovative automotive group in the world by the Center of Automotive Management (CAM) with the 2025 AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Award. This award, presented annually since 2011 by CAM in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, evaluates the technological and innovation strength of international automotive manufacturers and suppliers. Among the 30 companies analyzed globally, the Volkswagen Group achieved the highest score in the main category of innovation strength – ahead of competitors from China and Europe. CAM also recognized Volkswagen Passenger Cars as the most innovative volume brand and Audi as the most innovative premium brand.

Volkswagen Group Award 2025: Honoring supplier excellence and strenghtening strategic collaboration
The 21st Volkswagen Group Award recognized outstanding performance and long-term collaboration within the supplier network. Before the ceremony, Volkswagen AG welcomed around 120 key suppliers to the Autostadt in Wolfsburg for a Supplier Management Conference. The event, held under the motto „Mission: Possible”, focused on upcoming sourcing projects and new cooperation models designed to further improve transparency and strengthen collaboration in an increasingly complex environment.

900,000 Charge Points: Elli Continues to Expand Europe-wide Charging
Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH (Elli) is strengthening its position as one of Europe’s leading charging providers. As of now, e-mobility customers can access around 900,000 public charging points across 28 European countries using the Elli app, Elli Charging Card, or Charge&Fuel Card – including 80,000 high-power charging (HPC) stations. The rapid expansion comes alongside the rollout of a new, transparent pricing model, making charging across Europe more convenient, reliable, and cost-effective.

For a vibrant shared culture: Volkswagen Group raises awareness for German-Jewish songs
The German Choral Association initiated an international contest, inviting composers to rearrange musical works from the 1912 German-Jewish Songbook for choral performance. More than 50 compositions from six countries were submitted, including 28 arrangements by Israeli composers.

Volkswagen shareholders formally approve actions of Board of Management and Supervisory Board and adopt resolution on dividend for 2024
At the Annual General Meeting of Volkswagen AG, the shareholders followed the proposal of the Board of Management and Supervisory Board and resolved by a large majority to pay a dividend of EUR 6.30 per ordinary share and EUR 6.36 per preference share for the 2024 financial year. This corresponds to a payout ratio of around 30 per cent. Volkswagen’s preference shares yielded 7.1 percent based on the year-end closing price.

Dr. Werner Tietz takes over as head of Volkswagen Group Research and Development
Dr. Werner Tietz will assume the additional role of Head of Group Research and Development at the Volkswagen Group as of July 1, 2025, alongside his responsibilities as Member of the Executive Board for Research and Development at SEAT S.A. He succeeds Dr. Michael Steiner, who will take on the additional position of Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, in addition to his current role as Member of the Executive Board for Research and Development at Porsche AG. Both members of the Executive Board members will hold these positions in a dual capacity.

Volkswagen Group with mixed start to FY 2025; strong product momentum and focus on cost discipline
The Volkswagen Group has published its financial results for the first quarter of 2025.
Infographic on the Volkswagen Group’s mixed start to 2025: Sales increased by 1 percent to 2.1 million vehicles and revenue rose by 3 percent to €78 billion, while operating profit fell by 37 percent to €2.9 billion. The global share of all-electric vehicle deliveries grew from 6 to 10 percent.
